Interfaculty Bioinformatics Unit

  1. I am a group leader at the interfaculty Bioinformatics unit of the University of Bern. The main focus of my research is on statistical and computational aspects of evolutionary theory and genetics. Currently, I am especially interested in developing and analyzing spatially explicit population-genetics models, and to test the predictions of these models with genomic data. I am also teaching courses on Algorithms in Bioinformatics, Statistics for Biologists, and Programming and Data Analysis in R.
